ABOUT FRAN AND STEVE
In 1997 Fran and Steve met the very first time that Fran used a computer; her son was showing her how to ‘chat’ in ‘Comedy Chat.’ Steve was on his very last post after having been totally fed up with chat thanks to slow internet. They are now living in Tasmania, having inherited four acres of inhospitable land.
They want to grow their our own veggies, keep chooks for eggs and use their skills and knowledge to keep learning, make as much as they can as cheaply as they can, and find sources of what they need at the lowest cost – and preferably barter their way to a better life. They believe that if they cant make it themselves, find it online, or work out how it goes, it just plain isn’t worth doing!
With this belief system at their core, they are creating Serendipity Farm from scratch – and fending off the possums and wallabies!
